Starhouse is a queer theatre collective producing accessible, original, and inclusive theatre art in the South Bay and Peninsula.

We are dedicated to bringing high-quality and inclusive theatre to underserved communities; particularly local working-class, LGBTQIA+ youth, while still offering inclusive entertainment for everyone. 

We are committed to financial accessibility—in the spirit of radical hospitality, tickets to Starhouse shows will always be completely free, as will video recordings of said shows. (and if you think that’s a pretty neat policy, there’s a handy way to make sure we can continue it)  

We are committed to creating theatre art that cannot be found elsewhere, so all our shows are written, or adapted, and developed in-house by members of the Starhouse community.

We write and produce shows that offer opportunities for honest connection with our audiences, center queer voices, and thoughtfully engage with and explore a variety of performance forms and styles from around the world and throughout history.
