Kenny Silberburg (Adam/Touchstone) — My name is Kenny, and I have been in countless shows with 22 different groups. “As You Like It” is my 4th show this year, and afterwards, I will be in “Jane Eyre” in Orinda in September. As a job, I work full time as a ParaEducator (classroom assistant). I work with both high school and middle school, technically in 2 schools. I have been actively doing theatre since 2005. I have been a ParaEducator for 6 years, since late November 2018. I love my job. A weird thing about me, people say “remember us when you’re on Broadway” or expect me to have goals. But I’m happy with my life the way it is. I really love my family, and I dedicate this show to them.

Francisco “Frankie” Vargas (Madame Le Beau/Forester) — Hey!! My name’s Frankie and I’m a FREAK!!! I like video game history, anarchism and T H E F O R E S T . I’m an illustrator, storyboarder, and animator; you can find my work at frankie_steins_monster on Instagram and Youtube! I mostly make fanart for whatever I feel like but my main goal is to tell stories that are fun, yet emotionally rich and deep. (I feel like that can sum my personality up pretty well too lol!) I acted throughout middle and high school in church plays and musicals until college, where I stopped for three years. However, once I volunteered to play Polyphemus for the Odyssey Show in 2023, I fell in love with theater again. I have yet to find another collective that’s as fun, talented, and sincere as Starhouse is, and I hope that you have as much fun watching our shows as we had making them!

Divya Pillai (Silvius/Courtier) — In this show, I play a passionate but naive musician (Silvius) and an overconfident "tech bro" (Ensemble- Courtier). My real life combines aspects of both. I work as a software engineer, sing as an operatic soprano, and make puns for increasingly niche audiences. Reader, in case you fall into one of those niches, my Instagram account (@derivadiv) includes photos of pi-themed pies. Thank you to Starhouse for being so welcoming; my loved ones for supporting me through late nights, cheering me on every show; and my neighbors for not complaining about the noise from my at-home practice sessions. I’m proud to be part of this production; I hope it helps others feel connected to a diverse and beautiful community. Here’s to us all!

Karol-Ann Coleman (Audrey/Courtier) — Thrilled to be stepping onto the stage for the very first time, I’m honored to join the cast and crew of As You Like It. A veteran high school educator by day and a lover of the arts at heart, I’m a proud mom, partner, friend, and breast cancer survivor. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll often find me crafting, designing jewelry, or pouring homemade candles. This debut is dedicated to my family and dear friends, whose love, encouragement, and unwavering belief have brought this lifelong dream in the theater to life.

My past favorite roles are Nemo, Scott in Dear Edwina, and Ugly in Honk Jr. I was also Lewis in Queen Alice with Starhouse last summer. Hope you enjoy the show!

Evie Bennett (Celia/Aliena) — As a kid, I acted in something like 30 full length Shakespeare plays. Since then, I've done some onstage performances with Lyric Theatre and UCSD, some on-camera acting with Lucky 9 Studios and 373 Media, and some voice acting (narrating education courses with Stanford Medicine and voicing characters in audio dramas, animation, and video games). In addition to acting, I also adore cats (especially my little black cats Zoe and Ella), computer programming, circus arts, and linguistics! I teach high school math and science and I sometimes perform as fairytale characters for kids parties!

Barry Smith (Duke Senior/Duke Frederick) — A native of Pennsylvania, I started acting in high school plays and summer camp skits. Upon moving to California after college I performed in some community theater productions and melodramas in Oakhurst, CA and surrounding Yosemite areas. A trained animator (traditional ink and paint as well as 3d), I’ve followed my creative pursuits through animation , cartooning, coding, film editing, event hosting, product management, and now marketing. I’ve not been on stage in 30+ years, but I’ve come out of “retirement” to take the stage alongside my eldest child, Moe Smith, who plays Dennis.

Joaquin Gawchua (Amiens/guitar) — Welcome to our show! My name is Joaquin Miguel B. Gawchua, pit band guitarist for this production! In the past, my friends have identified me as someone who would unironically put “live laugh love” up as a decoration in my room, and on further introspection…I would! If you are so inclined, the first $12 sent to my venmo account will go to my dream of putting up live laugh love wall decoration in my room! https://venmo.com/u/JoaquinMBG Yes, this is my real venmo account, and yes this is meant to be a joke so no pressure, I’d much prefer donations to go to the company to help support future events and opportunities so if you must choose, please wait to the end to send your donations! In all seriousness, I hope y’all enjoy our show! It has been an honor and privilege!

Yulan Lin (piano) — I'm a musician in love with storytelling, well-maintained pianos, and being outdoors. My main regret about being a pianist is that it is logistically infeasible to carry a grand piano with me at all times. I really need someone to invent a shrinking/growing magic wand… Sometimes I write songs, mostly to process the emotional constipation of diaspora vibes and queer angst. They happen mostly on accident! I promise! To unwind, I cook too much food and lose myself in a good book. When I am not music-ing or dayjob-ing, I'm in the woods or in the mountains, eating ramen and trying to stay hydrated. Or attempting to climb rocks, both plastic and real. Catch me performing with @theunderlay or at local open-mics!

Miguel Wacher (drums) — Hi there, I’m Miguel (He/Him). I’m a Bay Area based actor, musician, and have been a film maker for over a decade. I get to play the drums for this show! You can usally catch me on stage at PAN theatre doing improv, acting and doing tech at most theatres around the Bay Area, and making movies in my free time, like my most recent short film “Speed of Silence”, which was a finalist of the 100 Hour Film Race and just won best score at COBB international film festival! Check it out on YouTube if you’d like, and thanks for coming out to support local theatre!

Rory Kinsolving (director, costumer, accordion) — Hi, I'm Rory! I've been with Starhouse since the beginning, and since then I've tried my hand at just about every role I could get my grubby little mitts on—most recently, costuming and accordioning. This adaptation of As You Like It has been one of my favorite musicals ever since I watched it back to back for every night it was in Redwood City in 2019, awestruck that I could get a show of this caliber for free, so getting to produce it myself and provide for free what I hope is a comparable version to you all has been a very literal dream come true for me. Outside of Starhouse, I also make music under the name of Rory John, links to which can be found at rory--john.carrd.co.

Cassian Grove (assistant director, sets) — They call me “Co-founder Cassian” because I co-founded the company. They also could call me set designer, assistant director, artist in residence, or dramaturg. This is the first Starhouse show I haven’t acted in ever, so I’m probably taking a nap backstage. I love Shakespeare and transgenderism so this show is perfect in all ways. When I’m not working here, I’m teaching drama after school, making art, and hanging out with my cat. See my art here: https://cassiancreating.carrd.co/
